1). What is a .TV domain name?
.TV is the ccTLD for the small Pacific-island nation of Tuvalu and it is one of the most recognizable two-letter words/symbols in the world.

2). Who can register a .TV and IDN .TV domain name?
Since there are no restrictions on registrants, anyone can register a domain name with a .TV.

3). Where can I register a .TV and IDN .TV domain name?
You may need to access to RegistryASP platform to perform domain name registration. Since this is different platform, therefore, reseller is require to replenish your account before proceed with the registration. Reseller may replenish the account through "Replenish account" feature at Billing Manager.
Upon successfully replenish the account, you may register .tv domain by follow the steps below:
- Login to your partner central at www.webnic.cc;
- Select 'New TLD Registration' link;
- Select "QuickStart Wizard" feature at Domain Manager to start the registration process.

4). What are some of the restrictions/requirements for .TV?
- Minimum of 1 / maximum of 63 characters allowed.
- A domain name must not start with a dash "-" or dot "." or must not start with the following sequence "alphanumeric_alphanumeric_dash ("-")_dash ("-")". (Note: We do allow this when it is an International Domain Name which has the PUNYCODE prefix of "XN- - ")
- Each character in the domain name excluding the dots "."s must be a letter or digit or dash "-".

- The last character must be a digit or a letter. It cannot be a dash "-".
- A domain cannot have more than 13 hosts

The term of registration and renewal is 1 to 10 years.

6). Can I delete a domain after register?
Yes, you are allowed to delete a domain name after registered. If the domain name is deleted within 3 days grace period, refund will be provided.

8). How long does it takes for an expired domain to work again after renewed?
After expired, domain name will be taken out from DNS and therefore website will not work properly. After renewed, it will takes 24 - 48 hours for the domain to work again.

You may lock or unlock a domain through "domain protection" feature under Domain Manager.

No, a renewal term is not able to delete. However you can delete the domain name from database.

11). What is Redemption Grace Period (RGP)?
Domains will have reached the REDEMPTION PERIOD state if they have been EXPIRED for more than 40 days, were NOT renewed by the owner or Reseller. The Redemption Period is 30 days. REDEMPTION PERIOD provides the owner with one last chance to recover the domain before it's dropped

12). How to restore a domain name under RGP?
The Redemption process is costly, both in fees ($80USD) and in effort. Registrants should be discouraged from using the Redemption Period and encouraged to renew domains before expiry or during the grace period when a renewal can be conducted with the registry in real time and for no additional cost.
If you have a customer who wishes to redeem a domain:
- Send us an email to cbdcn@cbdcn.com, please include the domain name and your Partner ID along with authorization to charge your reseller account for $80 + a one year renewal at your normal renewal pricing.
- The domain can only be reverted back to the original Registrant (original whois information).
- It will take approximately 2-5 business days to complete the entire process.

13). How long does it takes for a domain to release to public registration after expired and not renew?
After expired. 40 days will be given to renew the domain name. If domain name not renew, another 30 days of RGP will be given. After that the domain name will be dropped under 'Pending delete' for 5 days and will be release to public for re-registration later on.

You may transfer a domain through "transfer in domain" feature under Domain Manager.
